Some ideas for new skills for Mesmer.

Charm Enemy Elite
Hex Spell (Domination)
25 Energy 7 seconds casting time 45 sec recharge.
Target non-boss foe turns hostile on its own allies for 4-16 seconds

Energy Siphon
Hex Spell (Inspiration)
15 Energy 3 Second casting time 30 sec recharge
While suffering with this hex target foe loses 1-2 pips of energy. This effect lasts for 3-12 seconds until it is removed or it expires. The next party member that strikes this foe with a spell or attack receives 1-2 pips of energy regeneration until the hex is removed or it expires

Elite Signet-Aura of Disruption (Fast Casting) 1 sec casting 60 sec recharge
For 5-10 seconds the next skill that you successfully disrupt the energy cost of that skill is given to all of your party members (50% chance of failure with 4 or less attribute level in Fast Casting)

Chaos Cloud
Enchantment Spell (Fast Casting) 25 Energy 3 second casting 45 sec recharge
Your skills and all areas foes skills are disabled for 4-16 seconds. When spell expires or is removed all foes with in an ear shot are disrupted. Spell ends prematurely if you are knocked down or move.


Transparency
Enchantment Spell (Illusion) 15 Energy 2 second casting 45 sec recharge
For 10 seconds all members of your party turn transparent which causes foes to have a 10-50% chance to miss with melee and a 5-25% chance of spell failure on spells targeting your party.

I liked this one best. they were all nice but this one is my favorite. Just the thought of using it on one of the mesmers near ghial makes me happy.

The cd on the non-elites doesn't make up for the hugely overpowered-ness of the skill. All those skills should be elites.

Hmmm, not a bad idea. Although looking into it, I think there should be more Illusion Magic skills (in the whole game, not just the new ideas). Anybody agree with me, or am I just saying this because my Lady of Fiery Doom is going to be an Illusion/Inspiration Mesmer?

bah those are pve only skills......... not signed. :P

also support skills. mesmers dont have any support skills.

Mind Rush
Enchantment Spell (fast casting)
5 energy, 1 second cast time, 20 second recharge.
Enchantment Spell. For 5...20... 25 seconds, you are no longer dazed, and cast spells 33% faster. When mind rush ends, you are dazed for 20 seconds.

Eh Charm Enemy couldn't be used in PvP at all, so its flawed.

Chaos Cloud just seems ridiculously overpowered. An aoe blackout that interupts.... One mesmer can take out a whole team's skills in PvP for 16 seconds, which would be plenty of time for a good team to wipe out that team.

Illusion of Power

Enchantment

Cost:10 energy
Cast: 2 sec
Recharge 20 sec

While you have illusion of power on you, you attack 25% faster and do 1-17 more damage with attacks. You have -5 degen on you. Duration 5-17.

A Basic idea x.x, maybe broken maybe not, but I'd like to see more skills that help with class "polymerization".

Wait wait wait, so basically, it shuts down every enemy in the area, and yourself, and when it ends it interrupts every enemy within ear shot? What good is that? They won't be casting since their skills were disabled and you can't queue up disabled skills o_O

This skill only effects area, the ending part effects earshot.

A really good skill for mesmers could be:

Ammesia [E]

Energy cost:25
Cast time: 1 second
recharge time: 20 seconds

Target foe and all foes nearby your target are hexed with Ammesia for 5..15 seconds. Foes hexed with ammesia see enemies classes randomly(e.g a W/E could be seen as Mo/me ect.) and all of hexed foes see skills used by enemies as monster skill.

Disruptor's Paradox [E?]

10, 1/4, 12

All of your non-interruption skills are disabled for (5..2) seconds. If target foe is casting a spell, that foe is interrupted and hexed with Disruptor's Paradox for (2..6) seconds. The next time target foe attempts to use an Interruption skill, that skill fails and that foe takes (35..119).

Uhmm What is this? Non-boss target??? How can you use this in PvP??? Use 2 Mes, 2 sin and 2 monks??? Charm the 2 monks for 16 sec and use 2 Sin to kill the whole other team within 10 sec??? Too powerful! Plus the "non-boss" is for PvE. Then which race will this in? Lightbringer? Not relevant unless you give more explanation. Non-clear skill.

Hmm....sound interesting even though I can not think of any use for this. Could be a good combo in new builds when new GW come out.

Hmm....a decent skill! Can not think of any good use for it either! When playing in PvP/PvE, energy for the whole party is not needed. Only need energy given to monks but recharge is too long plus most of the interupted skills are 10 energy. Not worth it.

..Hmm..need cordination for the best use out of this but 16 max (mean 18 in 16 fast cast) is too powerful. Just like incoming. 4-10 is good enough.

Uhmm....no offense but too powerful ^_^ Make E/Me ball and it's like OMG ^_^" overpower build for sure! Or Mo/Me using this instead of Aegis ^_^ WoW. 10+ 30% from blessed aura + 20% = 15sec. 2 monks is 30s/45s have this kind of prot! It's a WoW T_T

(Yes I was thinking PVE - If it was PVP maybe increase the casting time to 10 sec and easily interrupted. But you are probably right this one probably has no chance)

Aura of Disruption - I like it, simply because you have to predict 1 second in advance what they're casting and that it has a good energy cost. Don't know about it being elite though. (Of course Monster only skills would not be affected. I would love to catch someone casting meteor shower with this one.)

(A little party defense would work well with a mesmer I guess you could remove the spell failure portion but then it is kind of like Aegis)
